I have completed my Bachelors in Electronics and Comminication Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata, India in 2011 followed by Masters in lasers and Electro Optics from Defence Institute of Advanced Technology, DRDO, Pune, India in 2014. After that I joined EDFA research and development industry as an Associate Engineer and worked for 7 months. Later I switched to the toxic gas detection instrument manufacturing industry and have spent my last 4 years on research and developement of spectroscopic detection technologies for different toxic gases and chemicals in industry effulents (both gaseous as well as waste water). It has always been in my dream to persue my higher education in Semiconductor Laser and its applications and it became true when I got the opportunity to work on “Widely Tunable Swept Source Laser for OCT” here in IPIC under the supervision of Dr. Tomasz Piwonski. I have joined as a PhD student in the CAPPA group a few months ago and looking forward to a wonderful journey.
