Celina Liyao Li

PhD Researcher

Celina Liyao Li is currently a PhD student in the Biophotonics group under the supervision of Prof. Stefan Andersson-Engels. Celina received her double BSc degrees in Biology and Physics in 2017 from University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, where she worked on CT dosimetry for dental applications and dynamic oxygen enhanced MRI for cancer detection. She obtained her MSc degree in Medical Biophysics in 2020 from University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada under the supervision of Dr. Brian C. Wilson and Dr. Robert A. Weersink. During her MSc, Celina worked on the clinical translation of transrectal diffuse optical tomography for monitoring photocoagulation progression during photothermal therapy of focal prostate cancer.
