“Giuseppe Talli is Staff Research Scientist with the Photonic Systems Group at the Tyndall National Institute working on fibre based communication systems in the area of next generation optical access networks. He received the Laurea degree in electronic engineering from the University of Padova, Padova, Italy, in 2000 and the PhD in electronic engineering from the University of Essex, UK, in 2003. From 2004 to 2008 he has been at the Tyndall National Institute as post-doctoral researcher and staff researcher. From 2008 to 2012 he has been with Intune Networks, Dublin, working on design and implementation of photonic subsystems for optical burst switching in metro networks.
His research activities include high data rate and advanced modulation formats for next generation optical access systems; metro-access network consolidation; dynamic wavelength assignment in access network; and sub-system for burst mode operation.”
