Sanwal Zeb

PhD Researcher

Sanwal is currently working as a PhD student on a SFI/IPIC funded project under the supervision of Prof. Marco Ruffini.

His main research areas include virtualization, slicing and monitoring of converged fixed/mobile and access/metro networks where the focus is on ultra-low latency and smart bandwidth allocation in next generation networks specially 5G and beyond.

He received his bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems Engineering from BZU Multan Pakistan, in 2014. He was awarded a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from SEECS, NUST in 2018 with a thesis on “Energy Minimization by Optimal Data Center Placement in Elastic Optical Networks”.

He worked as a Senior Officer (Fixed Portfolio) in Enterprise Solutions & Services (ESS) department in China Mobile Pakistan CMPak which is leading 4G Telco in Pakistan. He looked after Fixed Line (Data + Voice) Solution designs & new product development and launched SD-WAN for corporate customers.

His main research areas include virtualization, slicing and monitoring of converged fixed/mobile and access/metro networks where the focus is on ultra-low latency and smart bandwidth allocation in next generation networks specially 5G and beyond.
