Amol is a PhD student at the Radio and Optical Communication Laboratory, Dublin City University, Ireland working under supervision of Prof. Liam Barry. He is currently working on designing innovative photonic techniques for Hybrid Optical/Wireless Broadband Communication. Amol obtained his Master’s degree in RF and Photonics Systems and Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Tele-communication Engineering from India. He has won two awards for excellent research publications. He has one year of lectureship and eight months of project assistant experience.
Amol is very passionate about Science and Physics, and his enthusiasm is contagious. Currently, he is Chairperson of the DCU IEEE Student Branch, and is organizing various technical and networking activities with peers across globe/Ireland. Amol has developed an Optics Kit containing basic physics experiments and has organized demonstrations of these experiments in various schools across India as a Secretary of OSA IITM Student Chapter.
