Francesca Cali joined IPIC in 2024 as a PhD candidate in the BioPhotonics group at Tyndall. She is working on project titled “Wavefront shaping with non-linear feedback for biomedical applications”, under the supervision of Baptiste Jayet. This project aims to explore methods of focusing light in tissue to improve the excitation of photosensitive targets.
She completed her BSc in Experimental Physics and Mathematics from Maynooth University in 2023, achieving a first class honours.
