Liang is currently a PhD student at University College Cork under the supervision of Prof. Dmitri B. Papkovsky. His research focuses on developing new photoluminescent sensing materials, systems and applications for live cells analysis. Liang obtained his MSc degree in 2020 from Jinan University in Guangzhou. During his MSc, Liang got full scholarship as a visiting student for academic research in the University of Philippines and University College Cork, where he worked on new O2 and pH-sensitive photoluminescence materials and dual-analyte sensors.
