Louise Frost is a PhD candidate in the BioPhotonics group at Tyndall, working on a project titled “Intracellular Drug-delivery with Upconversion Luminescent Nanoparticles.” Her research aims to enhance the efficiency of cancer treatments through nanophotonics. The project is supervised by Kiang Wei Kho.
Louise earned her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering and her master’s in Photonics Engineering, both from the Technical University of Denmark. Her master’s thesis, completed at the BioPhotonics group at Tyndall, inspired her to pursue a PhD with the team. She was drawn to the group not only for its high academic standards but also for its inclusive and curiosity-driven environment.
