Yineng Wang

Researcher

Dr Yineng Wang has his research interests in integrating smart sensors (bio-impedance sensor and bio-photonics sensor) into medical devices (a.k.a. smart guidewire/catheter/stent delivery device/biopsy device/surgical device).   He is the key research engineer of the EU H2020 Project MedPhab, responsible for design and development of the hardware of an advanced photonics medical device.

Yineng was awarded a Doctoral of Engineering Science degree in the research field of Medical Devices, Microfluidics-Capillary Electrophoresis system and mobile analytical chemistry workstation at Tyndall National Institute, University College Cork. He also, completed a Master of Science degree in Medical Device Design with bio-medical engineering discipline in University College Dublin with sub-modules in Trinity College Dublin and National College of Art and Design.  He has excellent design and research skills with a solid understanding of Ergonomics, Biomechanics, User-Experience Thinking, ISO13485, FDA & CE and HE75 standards, excellent communication skills, problem-solving and initiative ability.
